Hello, my name is 黄澗石 (Jianshi Huang).

I currently live in Tokyo, working for Mathematical Systems Inc.

I’m a Common Lisp programmer, Linux fan and Emacs user. My main developing platform is GNU/Linux and I run different OSes on VirtualBox for tracing and debugging. The main Common Lisp platform I’m familiar with is SBCL and AllegroCL, where each has its own strength. Last but not the least, it’s not possible to live without GNU software :).

I like programming languages, among which I can speak Common Lisp, Scheme, C and Prolog. I also like Haskell and SML but I haven’t write any non-trivial programs in them. I have a tendency towards code efficiency so usually I have a good grasp of how the compiler would compile my code. This is especially important in dynamic typed languages like Common Lisp. I also have some knowledge about today’s CPU-memory architecture and x86 assembly. I would like to go down-to-the-metal if necessary.

I can speak Chinese, English and Japanese, with decreasing level of fluency.

I’m happy to be a Software Engineer, and I think “honesty, rationality and critical thinking” are essential for any good engineers. For that reason, I choose to use Opensource software, and probably would like to get involved for the rest of my life.
